Input the names of the bookmakers you have memberships with into the Betting Agencies table. For the credit facility, input 0 if you are unsure.

Input names for the sports that you plan to bet on into the Sports table.  This will enable you to track your performance for each sport.  When you input details into the Bets worksheet, you will only be able to input agency and sport names that are on these lists.  This ensures data integrity.

Inputting bet types is optional.  If you do so you will be able to select these from a drop down menu in the Bets worksheet.  If you wish to track performance by bet type, you need to input the bet types to track here.

Inputting tipsters/cappers is optional, and is for subscribers of tipping services.  If you do so you will be able to select these from a drop down menu in the Bets worksheet. This provides an additional filter by which you can analyse your betting data in the Performance Summary sheet.  You can use this field any way you want.  Some example uses are:

League - if you use the Sport / League column to enter just the sport, you can use this field for the specific league.

Pick attribute - you could filter your wager data based on the home favourite, home underdog, road favourite, etc.

Tip rating - if you subscribe to tippers who publish tip ratings you could enter them here.		 The examples above in brackets would result in a $177 payoff and $77 profit for a winning $100 bet.

Decimal odds are popular in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

To use fractional odds, input = then the fraction into the odds field in the Bets sheet.  For example =10/13.  Note that Excel will display the odds in decimal format in the sheet.  To change this to fractional display, go to the Bets sheet and unlock it (if you have not done so already) by selecting Tools -> Protection -> Unprotect Sheet.  The password to do so is sport.  Then highlight the odds column and select Format -> Cells -> Number -> Fraction.

This spreadsheet calculates profits based on decimal odds.  This is the procedure used by many, but not all bookmakers, so results may vary from those calculated by your bookmaker.  In this case it is  recommended that you tweak the odds to achieve results that match those calculated by your bookmaker.

If using American odds, leave out the + sign for odds such as +130.
 Input the number of decimal places that your currency supports.  For most currencies this is 2 (i.e. $5.95 has two decimal places).

If your currency doesn't have decimal places, input 0.  I.e. 5.95 rounds to 6.00 in your calculated payouts and profits.

If your betting currency only supports rounding to say, the nearest 10 units, input -1 for rounding. This means 25.95 will round to 30.
